 Verified Great Trip Did a 5 night fishing trip in mid September to Lost Lake Lodge. Weather didn't cooperate fully but we still had a great time. Tony and Melissa and their team were great, lots of info on check in about meal times, fishing maps and boats. Stayed in Cabin 3 which was very comfortable and spotless. Games room with wifi was a really nice place to meet other guests and swap stories. The meals were also very good, I will miss the pie and ice cream every night! Enjoyed going to some of the back lakes that required a short portage, using their wheelbarrows to tote our gear, or going in the side by side. There you really felt like you were in the wilderness. This would be a great spot for families. There is no cell service at all, even in Gowganda, which is great to disconnect but good to know. We used WhatsApp no problem but Melissa offered us the use of the landline if we needed it. Would definitely recommend Lost Lake Lodge.

 Verified Dave / Paul We found this fishing lodge 5 years ago and will say that it is absolute paradise in the North. Great lakes to explore all with good fishing. Tony and Melissa / staff are friendly always accommodating adventures out to explore different lakes. The cottages are all very comfortable. Good people are attracted to this Lodge one that should not be missed. I v=can`t say enough - Just a Great Place -

 Verified Lost Lake Lodge, a place you wont regret! Fabulous experience. The owners are so welcoming right from the arrival. They review every lake with you. The food is like going to your favorite restaurant and your moms house combined. Melissa and Tony always made a point to come talk to you at each meal. They keep the atmosphere very friendly and positive. The clubhouse is stunning. A great place to hang out in between catching trophy fish. Kayla, Brandon and Wayne go out of their way to help your every need or wants. Also, our cabin was beautiful. Will be a returning customer for sure.

 Verified Great family vacation at Lost Lake We had a great time at Lost Lake. Comfortable cottage with all we needed for 6 people. Everything was in good working order. The boats on the main lake were excellent, with the boats on remote lakes understandably basic, but still in good working condition. The lakes were beautiful. Fishing was good - no lunkers, but plenty of decent sized fish to keep everyone interested. Melissa, Tony and their son were all very friendly and helpful - excellent hosts! And, they gave great advise about where to find the fish. Highly recommend.

 Verified Lost Lake We had the best time up at Lost Lake last week. I went up with my best friend’s son Ty, who is a fishing nut! We came from Windsor so the drive was about 9 hours give or take, because it was on a Saturday the traffic wasn’t bad at all. We were greeted right away by Melisa (Owner). We settled up and went to our cottage for the week (Cottage #7). The cottage was well maintained, extremely clean (and I mean EXTREMELY CLEAN!) and perfect for the 2 of us. Tony (Owner) came by to go over the boats, lakes, baits, meals etc. Tony and Melissa are the best hosts you can ask for!! Both are very personable and take great pride in ownership. When you go down to breakfast, Tony will ask where we were going to fish for the day and give you some spots and pointers. Fishing for the first couple days was slow, we just had a front move in but after getting to know the lakes we started catching fish. We fished 4 lakes (lost Lake, Bloom, Leta and Wigwam) while there catching tons of smallies and pike. We took the trip to Leta Lake where we caught 15 brook trout in just a few hours. The boats are very well maintained and it was nice that the Lost Lake boats had push button starters. I had a shoulder surgery a few years ago and all the boats started up right away. The portage paths are good. I had a knee replacement last June and I had no problem going through the bush paths to get to the other lakes. We met some very cool people while there, we had a group from Michigan, Pennsylvania and 2 more groups from Ontario. Every day the dining room was full of conversation of the days fishing, baits, spots, etc. All the groups caught a lot of fish but I think the boys from Michigan out fished us all! The staff are amazing people, Taylor and Chad worked their butts off for us and the rest of the groups to ensure we all had a great time. Taylor even made me chocolate cookies to take with me when leaving. Thanks to both of you!! The food was terrific (American Plan). Tony is an excellent cook and all the meals were delicious! As were the deserts. Meals were planned out very well and never went away hungry. I have only been back a couple days and already miss it. Ty and I are already planning the next trip up there. I highly recommend Lost Lake Wilderness Lodge not only for the fishing (which is awesome!) but the cottages, meals, camaraderie and the staff. We came in as strangers and left as friends with Tony, Melissa and staff!

 Verified An adventure fishing trip Lost lake ranks as our best fishing trip to date. Three of us stayed there for a week during Sept. of 2021 and we have already booked for Sept. 2022. What made the trip especially memorable was that it was a wilderness adventure and not just a fishing trip. We enjoyed portaging to several lakes, hiking to a brook trout lake and a drive in lake experience as well. Yes, the fishing was excellent as well! Every day John made sure we had some good tips for the best spots to try for each destination lake. The boats, bait, etc. were always checked and ready to go. Cabin was perfect for 3 men and the meals were enjoyed by all, especially the packed lunches for each day. This year we are looking forward to meals in the main lodge post-covid. The lodge owners are very welcoming and keep everything well organized and trouble free.

 Verified Father and Son fishing trip, September 2021 My Son and I stayed for a week Sept, 2021. We had the most enjoyable experience, Melissa and Tony are wonderful hosts who took care of all our needs. The lodgings and food was exceptional. Boats and equipment was 1st class, food was succulent and portions left nobody hungry. Fresh bait twice a day, fantastic fishing, we caught Pickeral, Pike, Bass and Brook Trout all within the same day. I highly recommend Lost Lake Wilderness lodge, you will not be disappointed.  Verified Exceptional Fishing Lodge! My brother-in-law and I took two of our grandsons (both 15) for 4 days in August 2021 to Lost Lake Wilderness Lodge. We got the full meal package, shared a cabin which had 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and living room area and satellite TV. Cabin was newer, very nice, comfortable, clean, all we could want. The weather turned just before we arrived, so fishing was really slow, no one seemed to be catching much of anything those three full days of fishing. We did catch some bass, a few good size, rest smaller. Caught a few pike, nothing big. Didn’t fish Walleye or Trout. Tony, Mellissa , Johnny, and other staff were exceptional!! This lodge has great customer service, really care, are very friendly and helpful. Openly providing fishing tips and locations, always asking how we are, anything we need. The food is exceptional - breakfasts and dinners were fabulous, lots to eat. Each night, each guest hands in a page with the next day’s lunch request able to pick from a variety of options to take on the boat with you. Sandwiches were stuffed with meat and sauce (whatever you selected), very filling, multiple desserts, multiple drinks, just wonderful! Could not recommend this more. Beautiful location. All boats were sturdy, easy to fish out of, motors always started easily and worked well. Everything about this was 10 out of 10! Thanks Tony and Mellissa and crew for a great experience for us and our grandsons. And their prices on gear and clothing was far lower than I expected, as most places mark things up, not this location – really solid prices throughout.

 Verified Excellent Fishing! We had a great time on our 5-day trip! Fishing was excellent - even with a cold front coming through. We caught a lot of bass, pike and pickerel. There are many lakes to fish and frequently we were the only ones on a lake! The meal plan was great with big portions of good food delivered to your cabin at set times (due to COVID). They also provide all the things you need for a shore lunch if you are interested. The scenery on all the lakes is breathtaking and it is so quiet! The owners and staff bend over backwards to make sure you have everything you need. We would definitely go back. Be aware that there is no cell service in the area, but you can walk up to the lodge to use their wifi if you need it.

Tony and Melissa, and their staff were very friendly, and attentive to our needs. Our cabin was very nice and clean. It has a full kitchen so if anyone wants to bring their own food it’s possible to do so. My friends and I went with the meal plan, and the food was all very good. The homemade pie was excellent! The fishing was a lot of fun, and the adventures we had can not be replaced. Thank you to the staff for making us feel at home! See you next year!

The boats were easy to use and never had a problem starting and always filled with gas. We chose the meal plan even though the cabin had a full kitchen. We enjoyed having meals with other anglers and hearing their stores and what was working for them on the lakes. Tony and Melissa were very gracious hosts! My son and I went up for 5 days, plan on 7 this year. Just a great experience. Nice cabins, good food, great hosts, great equipment even on the remote lakes. Fishing was good, never caught Waleye but probably more about us than the lakes. It's even possible for a couple of Americans to enjoy every minute at Lost Lake. Tony, Melissa, and Logan treated me like family and I felt like a true member of the Lost Lake team. I worked with some amazing people and have learned some life-changing skills from Wayne Durling who many of the guests know because of his generosity and selfless attitude only helping to make Lost Lake Lodge a better place. I met some amazing guests at the lodge who all shared their passion for fishing and being in the outdoors. The food was absolutely to die for and being able to hunt and fish only made the stay even better. If you want one of the best fishing experiences of your life and to be surrounded by other people who love the outdoors Lost Lake WIilderness Lodge is for you. Every single motor we used worked great, and we used several including our boat on Lost Lake and all the other motors on the remote lakes which we visited several.  This may not sound like much, but when you are trying to fish with a temperamental motor that is not fun and that was NOT the case at Lost Lake.  All the equipment was in very good condition. A cold front came through on our first day, so fishing was slower.  We still did catch some real nice ones though. Even the weather was sunny and pleasant. We hope to be able to come back again!

The folks at Lost Lake Wilderness Lodge make it a great experience, the food is good, there are plenty of lakes to choose from which means you might only see one or two other folks fishing- if anyone at all. Dinner time was time to share your stories of the daily catches with the other guests and what lures or bait worked on the different lakes. The cabins exceeded our expectations.  Boats, motors, accessories and bait made our adventures easy. We really enjoyed portaging to Wig Wam and then Bloom.  It was another world of quiet and beautiful scenery. We caught Pike, Walleye and Small Mouth Bass. What a terrific fishing vacation.
